2011 Trip

Here are some of the pics I took on a trip to Lake Argyle and a cruise down the Ord River today - August 3rd, 2011

The Durack home - now a museum.
The patriarch of the Duracks was Pat         There are some smart Bower Birds here!
It was moved stone by stone from it's original site - now under water.

Lake Argyle is incredibly blue as you can see in these two shots.            After the coach trip we boarded the "Peregrine' for a fantastic trip down the Ord River

A huge boab along the way. Our tour guide and boat/coach driver, Grant, kept up a running commentarty of interesting facts - then served arvo tea and cakes!

Elephant Rock is quite impressive and Grant told us the view from the top is great.

Sunset over Lake Kununurra was the end of a perfect day - I'm almost glad I was forced to stay here to get Yemmy fixed.

Tomorrow I'll know what's wrong and what it will take to fix it.
